Kega FAQ

Ok, a little bit of info I thought I should mention:

1. Fusion does not require ASPI under Win2K/WinXP/OS X
2. Fusion runs in 16-bit or 32-bit colour
3. Use the F12 key to toggle mouse capture / release when using the mouse as a controller.

multi disc games

When using multi disc games you must wait for the "cd tray ejected" icon before swapping discs.

Graphics problems

Edit the INI file and change the last two options - ForceCompatibleGFX and CompatibleGFXOpt to 1 - MAKE SURE you do this while the emulator is *NOT* runnning - and please let me know so I can try to fix the problem.

SegaCD game XYZ does not work!

1. Try activating the "perfect synch" option
2. Try deactivating the "readahead" option
3. Both Kega and Gens emulate a *MODEL 1* SegaCD. Use the recommended - I.E. Model 1 BIOSes - for maximum compatibility.

Will there be a port of Fusion to other architectures?!?!

No, there won't be a port of Fusion to other architectures in the near future and there probably never will be.

Fusion is written in x86-ASM and would require a complete rewrite to a portable language like c/c++, therefore it will only run on Machines that are able to execute x86-code.

In other words: A rewrite for it to run on PPC/Alpha/ARM is not doable without substantial effort, which means: There won't be a PocketPC, PSP, Dreamcast, etc. port.
