A quick overview

"Little Computer People" by David Crane is one of the most fascinating programs released in the last decade. It originally appeared on the C64, but was ported to the Amiga and Atari ST later, sometimes with the name "House On A Disk". According to the authors of the program, every computer is inhabited by a person. With "LCP" you are able to watch this person and even communicate with him. After loading the program, the interior of a house is shown (which resembles the interior of your computer, of course!). At the very beginning of the game, your personal LCP starts to move in. Later on, he regards this house as his home and begins to feel comfortable (as you will be told by the many letters he will write you). You can try to communicate with him, but sometimes this is really difficult, because the LCPs are very stubborn. Hence, if you try to communicate with him, please do it politely, i.e. put a "please" before every sentence you tell him (e.g. "please play the piano" instead of "play piano").
BTW, the name of my current LCP is "Archie";
He looks like this: [Archie], and he also has a dog: [Doggy]

A little guidance needed?

[ The House ]

To make your start easier, I prepared some tables decribing every object in the house.
Here we go:

[ Objects on the 1st floor ]
[ Objects on the 2nd floor ]
[ Objects on the 3rd floor ]

Other goodies & LCP files to download

Little Computer People - C64 version
This is a totally untouched version for the C64. When you start it, a very unique LCP begins to move into his house.
Little Computer People - Amiga version
The Amiga version, called "House On A Disk".
LCP-Tools C64
If you get sick of your current LCP, you can either replace him with a specified other one (you may rename him, too) or restart the game completely with a new random LCP. For the C64-version, you need the following tools. Download it, depack it and start it. The three programs are explained, but PLEASE make a backup of your original disk before you use it!
LCP documentation
The documentation. Read it, it´s quite funny.
